  1. After I dropped out of high school, I kept putting off getting my GED. After two years of dead end jobs, I went and got it, passing with 12.9 in every subject. Yeah!!!

  2. I was extremely shy for most of my life. I finally decided that it was no fun at all to be scared of the world and now I sing in a band in front groups of people!

  3. I broke my parents’ legacy of emotional and physical abuse by NOT raising my sons the way I was raised.

For me, this meant holding, comforting, encouraging and praising them; telling them how proud I was/am of them; and, most important of all, performing all of the essential duties of parenting (discipline, guidance and direction) without ever once striking, hitting, slapping, spanking or inflicting physical pain of any kind whatsoever on them in the name of “parenting.”

They are both now incredibly gifted, kind, compassionate and responsible young men. If I were to die today, I would consider this new legacy an invaluable positive contribution, not only to them but to their children.
